Sharing is caring!

I am a proud member of the Entrepreneur’s Organisation. We are based in a region called MEPA. The Middle East, Pakistan and Africa. A very random collection of regions very far apart in geography, culture and language. That said in my work throughout MEPA I have found more commonalities than differences.  The challenges faced by companies, building brands, finding customers, growth and strategy are the same. The human elements are also the same.

So when Jamie and Nicola on the regional council  (sounds fancy right ) reached out to ask Pieter and I to design a 4-day session to bring the members of MEPA together, around the concept of forming connections that can help all of us to grow and thrive- The MEPA pitch week was born. Everyone was happy to donate their time and energy to the process. Connections were made, and lessons were learnt. We even sold the oldest printing press in Oman. Check it out:

On the 5th day, I really did miss the energy and sense of connection. We are looking forward to this becoming a regular on the calendar. Covid has been such a world shift but running a process like this, I realise that we are all social creatures looking for a connection to people. Some levity, some serendipity and a bit of a smile in the face of everything.
