Sharing is caring!
Here is an interview I did with Gabriel Mundaka on his Madhouse podcast
I have been helping people to build brands that people care about for 14 years. I have been in the industry for 20 years and have seen some changes. As a child, I was not originally interested in branding but was always creative, enjoying drawing, painting and making things from clay. My mother was an arty person and exposed me to ballet and other performances which laid the foundation for my interest in the arts. After school, I went to live overseas for 3 years and when I came back, I found a college called Vega that exposed me to the idea of design and animation. That’s where my passion for visual communication started.
I founded Nicework 14 years ago and have focused on using my creativity to solve problems for clients. I believe that by helping clients translate their message to another audience, my work becomes more impactful. I have learned that it’s important to have empathy for clients, and understand their problems and how my design can help them achieve their goals. As a branding and business problem solver,
Failure is a part of the process and it’s important to fail fast and in small pieces to learn and improve.
